Skin Resurfacing Laser (Ebrium)

Skin Resurfacing with the Erbium Laser

Erbium laser resurfacing uses state of the art laser technology to eliminate the outer layers of your skin. This resurfacing treatment reveals new and fresh skin cells. You can use the Erbium laser to smooth the texture of your skin and create an even skin tone. Erbium laser resurfacing also activates the production of collagen and elastin. New collagen and elastin give your skin fullness and volume.

The process is similar to chemical peels or dermabrasion and reduces the appearance of fine lines, hypo or hyperpigmentation, wrinkles, and scarring. Erbium has a range of treatment depths to address various aesthetic concerns.

Erbium lasers are precise and have a great amount of depth control. Erbium lasers can be used on the face, neck, hands, or chest. Treatment time and discomfort are minimized compared with CO2 laser treatments.

FAQs

Erbium laser treatments address surface and medium wrinkles and deep lines. If you have problems with your hands, face, and other body parts, you may be a good candidate for Erbium laser resurfacing. Discuss your medical conditions with the providers at Allen Medical Aesthetics.

Erbium laser resurfacing penetrates deep layers of skin. The treatment can be somewhat uncomfortable. Your provider will probably apply a topical or local anesthetic to numb the area. Erbium lasers work with water in the body to deliberately damage skin cells. Erbium laser treatment starts the body’s healing processes and increases collagen and elastin production.

You may experience some redness that can persist for up to three months. You will also need more than one initial Erbium laser treatment to achieve your goals. Use moisturizer to improve comfort.

Your appointment will last between 30 and 45 minutes or up to two hours for full-face treatment.
