Vascular Reduction

Skin Resurfacing with the Erbium Laser

Erbium laser resurfacing uses state of the art laser technology to eliminate the outer layers of your skin. This resurfacing treatment reveals new and fresh skin cells. You can use the Erbium laser to smooth the texture of your skin and create an even skin tone. Erbium laser resurfacing also activates the production of collagen and elastin. New collagen and elastin give your skin fullness and volume.

The process is similar to chemical peels or dermabrasion and reduces the appearance of fine lines, hypo or hyperpigmentation, wrinkles, and scarring. Erbium has a range of treatment depths to address various aesthetic concerns.

Erbium lasers are precise and have a great amount of depth control. Erbium lasers can be used on the face, neck, hands, or chest. Treatment time and discomfort are minimized compared with CO2 laser treatments.

Vascular Reduction

Spider veins are common and measure only a few millimeters. They can happen anywhere on your body but are mostly found on the face around the cheeks, nose, and chin. You can also develop spider veins on the legs and specifically on the upper thigh, below the knee joint, and around the ankles. They are harmless but unsightly.

About 30% of women will develop spider veins, and you should not ignore them or take them lightly. Spider veins can be associated with vein conditions like varicose veins or deep venous insufficiency.

Spider veins are painless and common and still have their normal functions of transporting nutrients, water, and oxygen. The problem? They cannot shrink down to a small size due to overstretching. The condition is a cosmetic concern, making your skin look red, splotchy, and aged.

In addition to spider veins, you may experience cherry angiomas, bright red or purple spots made up of blood vessels. They can develop anywhere on the body and are noncancerous skin growths.

There is a solution. The long-pulsed YAG laser diminishes vascular lesions usually known as spider veins by using energy to heat, damage, and collapse target blood vessels. Technicians can also utilize the long-pulsed YAG to remove different vascular lesions, including cherry angiomas.
